What should I wear?
Solid colors are best. Avoid large or bold patterns and bright colors, which can draw attention away from the face.
Long sleeve dresses and shirts are recommended. They draw attention away from the arms and focus on the face. (Short sleeves are acceptable for infants and small children.
What are your hours?
We're open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9:00 to 12:00 on Saturday. If you need additional options, please call.
What if rain is predicted on the day of my appointment?
Come on in anyhow! On most "rainy" days, there are breaks that allow us to take the outside portraits. If it's pouring and you are unsure, call ahead of time and check with us. You can can return for the outdoor poses or have all poses taken indoors. Don't worry about cloudy or overcast days, because these days are particularly nice for outdoor portraits.
What if my child has a cold, or pimples, or a black eye or broken arm on the appointment day?
Many small flaws can hidden through careful posing, and others can be removed digitally. Of course, anyone who's sick will have a hard time looking their best. Just give us a call ahead of time and describe your problem.
What if my baby gets really grumpy during the photo session?
Try to schedule your appointment when your baby will be most relaxed. Generally, babies photograph best when they are well rested and fed. We realize that you may leave the house and the baby is fussy by the time you get here. We'll do our best to get a great portrait, but if we can't, we can reschedule.
Can I bring my cat, dog, smake, parrot, bengal tiger, pony to have my photo made with it?
Of course! Just be sure to alert us when you make your appointment so we'll know what type of session to schedule.
How many changes of clothing can I bring?
For the basic session, one set of clothes. Regular session, you can bring one change of clothes. If you need several change of clothes, be sure to mention this when the apointment is made.
Do you take black and white photos?
We take color photos, then convert them to black and white digitally.
Can you come to my home or farm to take a family portrait?
Yes. In many cases, it is easier for us to come to you. This is especially true for large family gatherings. Also, a location that has meaning to you will enhance the value of your portraits.
Can you restore old family photos?
We scan your old photos, then retouch digitally. Extensive restorations can take a lot more time and will cost more. We'll be able to give you an estimate when you bring them in.
Can you fix the bags under my eyes, errant hairs, male pattern baldness?
We can fix a wide variety of problems - even remove braces. Minor retouching is done free of charge. More comprehensive retouching may require an additional fee.
